Hijama, which loosely translates as “cupping,” is an ancient, prophetic healing method that has been practiced around the world, in some places for thousands of years.
As taught and transmitted to us by Sidi Shaykh Muhammad al-Jamal ar-Rifai’i ash-Shadhuli (raa), this unique healing modality can bring significant physical and emotional healing, as well as profound spiritual purification, by Allah’s help and permission.
The Prophet Muhammad (saws) said, “Hijama is the best of remedies.” Most often, in our experience, luminous blessings flow to both clients and practitioners. It is truly a divinely inspired mercy for all people.
The original teachings given by Sidi Muhammad are the foundation of the Holy Hijama Healing Method that we teach. Over the ensuing 20 years, building on Sidi’s early directives, the training program has become more complete, comprehensive, and professional—all with the intention of giving you the skills to practice competently, effectively, and with confidence.
Leading up to and including the October 13-15 in-person training, you will learn:
How to offer hijama healing to those you love and serve
How to perform hijama on the upper back for clients aged 16 and over
What makes this healing modality truly unique
How to comfortably share the benefits of hijama
Valuable and effective interviewing skills
How to establish a basic hijama healing practice
This training is for those who feel called to offer healing in a way that is both spiritually rooted and practically skillful.
It is especially well suited for:
Individuals who feel drawn to Prophetic medicine and sacred healing traditions
Practitioners (or aspiring practitioners) who want to integrate hijama into their existing work or begin a new path of service
Those who value a training that honors both spiritual depth and professional responsibility
Individuals who are willing to prepare, practice, and grow in order to serve others with care and excellence
This training may not be the best fit for those looking for a purely theoretical overview or a quick certification without meaningful engagement.
Your tuition includes a comprehensive 30+ hour training program consisting of five components:
1. Special Suite of Educational Videos
A special set of instructional videos that you will watch before we meet in October. These provide a necessary foundation to practice competently and receive the most from the course. Watching them is a prerequisite for attending the in-person training.
2. Hands-On Clinical Training
During the October 13-15 in-person training, you will give two hijama sessions and receive two yourself in a closely supervised and supportive environment, with individual feedback.
3. Professional Training Materials
Our updated materials include comprehensive client intake and informed consent forms, along with class discussions addressing licensing, payment for services, maintaining a safe and hygienic treatment space, and integrating complementary spiritual therapies with hijama.
4. Ongoing Mentorship and Community
You will have the opportunity to join our hijama mentorship program to help build your skills and develop your practice. This mentorship includes monthly group support meetings, small group meetings, and personalized coaching. You will also be invited to participate in quarterly gatherings with hijama practitioners from around the world.
5. The Hijama Promise
In accordance with the tradition of our guide Sidi Muhammad, all students will have the opportunity to take the “hijama promise”—a prayerful petition that Allah will abundantly bless your clients and grant them complete healing, insha’Allah.
Before arriving for the in-person training, you will complete a rich and immersive video curriculum designed to ground you in both the spiritual depth and clinical excellence of this work, so that you arrive prepared, confident, and ready to fully engage in hands-on practice.
